You can walk into the office on a Monday morning to 40 plus emails. You are lucky it's not more. If you do not respond within an hour you are chased again by email, or call, or both. Often repeatedly. The disappointment at your tardy response is made clear. It is NOT manageable or reasonable.
I spend up to 75% of each working day on emails with little time to progress the legal work on files. Expectations are impossible to manage.
This is a profession under constant attack and nothing is ever good enough. No wonder Conveyancers are quitting in droves or having breakdowns.
